Premium Processing Fee Changes

The U.S.C.I.S announced on Feb. 26, 2024, that they have increased the premium processing fees to offset inflation following the final rule published on Dec. 28, 2023, regarding the fee changes.

Processing fees are often adjusted twice a year by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) with authority granted by the USCIS Stabilization Act. The DHS now increases the service fees on all appropriate forms and categories to meet up with the Consumer Price Index for inflation. Specifically, the premium processing fee increase helps to bring about premium processing services for adjudication processes, adjudication requests, reduction of processing backlogs, and naturalization services.

All forms filed and submitted on or after Feb.26, 2024, are subject to the fee increase. This also applies to hand-delivered couriers by UPS, FedEx, DHL with mailing date stamped after Feb. 26, 2024.
